Our favorite golfer and Angels for Hearts CFO Curt Kaufman is once again hitting the course for a seventh season to raise funds in the 10th L5 Investments Capital Cup!
A little bit about the golf tournament. The L5 Investments Capital Cup adapts the historic Ryder Cup format—steeped in tradition—to promote community pride, and healthy competition. Each year, leaders from the Sacramento, California region are divided into two teams for an exciting 3-day golf competition. Last year Curt was the winning team’s captain. Donors have the opportunity to support their favorite player (or their favorite charity), as each player competes to benefit his or her favorite charitable organization. The winning team’s designated charities share a prize fund of $100,000!
This charity golf tournament will raise much needed funds to help Angels for Hearts with its mission of providing normalcy to pediatric heart patients and their families in the hospital and during their recovery. As well as making sure Child Life in the hospital has their ‘Wishes, Wants &/or Needs’ covered.
By donating to Angels for Hearts through this event – not only will 100% of your donation go directly to Angels for Hearts – but it will also help Angels for Hearts to potentially win a larger share of the $100,000 tournament prize pool! Curt needs our community’s support to hit his goal of raising $100,000 this year. This fundraiser is a great opportunity for businesses in our community to help heart kids. Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) is the number one birth defect. 1 in 110 children are born with a Congenital Heart Defect. More children die from CHD than all types of cancers combined, yet you do not hear or see much about CHD. The golf tournament is scheduled for September 13 – 15, 2024!
